I have many Mustard Seed Bracelets and I will tell you one thing about them, I love wearing them. They are great for starting conversations about what the mustard seed is, and the scriptures are great to mention, and if you have time, why not memorize them?
If you see someone looking at the Mustard Seed Bracelet you are wearing, just ask them the simple question of, “Do you know what is inside?”. That enough should spark interest on what it is, and what it is doing in your bracelet to begin with.
I’ve found that when shopping for Mustard Seed Bracelets you should use the same approach that you do when searching for other mustard seed jewelry. The key is that you find one that will fit right, display the mustard seed prominately and do what you want it to do in the first place. Typically a mustard seed would come from two big shrubs which are called “Brassica Juncea”, otherwise referred to as “Brown Mustard” and the “Brassica Hirta”, otherwise known as “White Mustard”. They are both native to Asia. Both of the plants produce bright yellow flowers containing small round seeds. Brown Mustard is always more pungent than White Mustard.
Traditionally they would be used to enhance the flavor of meats, sauces, fish, fowl and even salad dressings. They are hot and spicey. A whole mustard seed could be used for pickling or boiling vegatables like sauerkraut or cabbage. Brown Mustard Seeds are very importantly used in indian dishes. Powdered Mustard has virtually no aroma when it’s dry, but if it’s released when mixed in water it becomes very hot.
Mustard has it’s beginnings in Greece and also Rome, when it was used for medicinal purposes and also flavoring. After 800 A.D, France used Mustard for an enhancement on drab meals and salted meats. It was just one of the many spices that was taken on spanish explorations during the 1400’s. Mustard powder was created by Mrs Clements who hailed from Durham England. She made quite a fortune selling dry mustard flour.

A mustard seed charm can be a wonderful thing to either purchase for yourself or give as a gift. One of the most remarkable things about them is their low cost, not to mention their durability. I’ve had many charms before but none have really done for me overall what my mustard charms have done. I would definitely put them in the top 3 types of charms around, and maybe even they could rank in the first spot because of how inexpensive they are.
I’ve purchased many many before, and what’s wonderulf about them is that they are not designed to be showy, or flashy, they are simply there to make a point. That point can be several things but in my experience it’s been to show that the mustard seed charm can be an idea of faith and why people choose to purchase them and especially wear them is a beautiful thing that not all charms can actually do.
If you find yourself wondering what type of new charm you would like to get anytime soon or even in the future then just remember that a mustard seed is a sign of good faith and it has a long and rich history and wonderful stories behind it. It is a wonder in this day and age that anyone would doubt it’s true meaning.
